After some years of Eskimo parties in Belgium, main residents The Glimmers launched the label in 2000 with the first Eskimo compilation. From this success the idea was to grow Eskimo Recordings into a fully fledged label now carrying a whole array of mix compilations, quality 12"s & more recently artist albums. The Eskimo philosophy has always been one of surprise & variation, what critics would call 'eclectic'. The following names have been contributing to the label whether as artist, remixer or compiler: The Glimmers, Tiga, Lindtsrom & Prins Thomas, Ivan Smagghe, Optimo, Lotterboys, Headman, DJ Naughty, Rub n Tug, Chromeo, Recloose & more.
